Micronutrient level

A package of tests that includes a blood count and an assessment of the nutritional status of selected micronutrients such as vitamin D, vitamin B12, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and folate (folic acid). All of these elements must be maintained at the correct levels in the body so that the body is able to properly nourish both the fetus and the mother.

It is advisable to detect fundamental deficits of these elements, both during preconception care and during pregnancy, as soon as possible and supplement them through diet or with a high-quality dietary supplement.

The package also includes a thyroid hormone test, which affects the balance of reproductive hormones and therefore fertility. The test will also evaluate kidney function (using urea and creatinine tests) and liver function (ALT and AST, GGT tests).

We recommend that you discuss the results you receive from SYNLAB with your treating physician.

The collaboration between Verra and SYNLAB has created a unique project on the market, which offers women the opportunity to undergo testing as part of specially designed packages while trying to have a baby, but also during pregnancy.

The results may indicate major deficiencies in certain micronutrients or hormonal dysfunction. Why is this information important to know? Nutrient deficiencies or reduced function of certain hormones may be crucial for pregnancy and subsequent fetal nutrition.

The greatest experts in the field have therefore compiled specific examinations that may be of value to you. We recommend that you discuss the results you receive from SYNLAB with your treating physician. He or she can then take your health condition into account when evaluating you and recommend further steps.
