You often ask us whether you should take Omega-3 MK during pregnancy and breastfeeding and why Verra Komplex does not contain this ingredient. Here we have the answer for you ☺️!

So the answer to the question of whether to take Omega-3 MK at this stage of life is definitely YES! And why? 🤍

– are necessary for the proper development of the heart, brain and nervous system (cognitive and motor functions of the baby)

– participates in the growth of the baby's blood cells

– participates in the development of the baby's vision

Our body can synthesize many substances on its own, but this is not the case with these substances and we must supplement them. We Europeans have an Omega-3 MK deficiency (on the contrary, an O-6 MK excess). That is why it is recommended to take especially Omega-3MK during pregnancy & breastfeeding to balance the ratio. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that all types of Omega-3 MK have the same function for our little ones.

Pregnant women should ideally consume approx. 650 mg of Omega-3 MK (EPA + DHA), where 300-350 mg should be mainly DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). However, it is practically impossible to get such an amount from food (without increasing omega-6. That is why we recommend supmemeting them 😇🙂.

You can include Omega-3 MK in your diet with, for example, these ingredients 🤍:

- selected types of sea fish (suitable for pregnant women)

-flax, hemp seeds (can also be in the form of oil)

-walnuts (can also be in the form of oil)

And why doesn't Verra Complex contain oil that would be a source of Omega-3 MK? 🔍

Verra Complex is a source of really high-quality raw materials in organic or active form. In addition, we do not support their stability with any additives that would burden the organism of the developing baby + reduce the absorption of some nutrients within the GIT.

The oil could begin to adversely react (oxidize) with the active forms of nutrients and thus degrade the product (the quality of the contained micronutrients).

And that's all 🙂.
