Symptothermal method (STM) and its use in everyday life.

STM can help couples whose fertility is reduced for some reason. Of course, it can also help couples who do not have problems.

If a woman follows the natural course of her body (including symptoms), this method can tell a couple when is the most ideal time for them to conceive.

It may seem strange and old-fashioned to some, but listening to your body is ❤️, and a couple who can't conceive will be happy to try anything. We definitely approve of this method.

This method is also suitable for women who have an irregular cycle.

The highest probability of conceiving is when the woman has cervical mucus of the highest quality + according to the appropriate temperature. What is the right temperature, you ask? What is the right mucus, you ask?

Temperature (BASAL TEMPERATURE)

Get a basal thermometer for this step. The temperature is measured in body cavities (under the tongue/in the vagina/in the anus). It is important to take your temperature every day when you wake up at the same time.

If you have a bedside table, keep a thermometer on it and take your temperature while in bed. All movements have an effect on the temperature.

Get an application for the temperature and its recording on your phone. In the beginning, it will be easier for you than writing in a pad!

AND! If you measure with a medical thermometer, measure for at least 5 min + choose only 1 body cavity for regular measurements, do not mix them up!

In the next article, we will tell you how to record temperature values and which are key for us! 🤗

Mucus (CERVICAL MUCUS)

"Fertile mucus" tends to be translucent, mucus-like, and thin at the same time. Sperm can last up to 5 days in it.

You will notice it the day before you ovulate.

Symptoms may be different for each of you. That's why you have to spot them right now 🙌🏻. So get a pad in which you will record information about MUCUS (consistency, color + basal temperature).

You can also monitor the uterine lace, but this is already very demanding and is a subjective matter.

Therefore, we will not burden you with this further. We will add a supplementary article soon!
